Right on cue: iMac Updates

We don't know why - perhaps an iCal crash in Cupertino - but Monday night has seen the release of the rumoured and long overdue updated iMacs. After another huge thread of excitement and anticipation, Apple brought the store back online at around 10.30pm.

Most notably, the iMac's have been updated to use the latest Penryn processors in addition to a new high end model sporting a whopping 3.06GHz processor.... 'It's a Screamer!' - as Steve would say.

Pricing has also been revised (with a notable neglection of the Education Store) as follows;

20" 2.4GHz - $1599 (EDU $1549)
20" 2.66GHz - $1999 (EDU $1849
24" 2.8GHz - $2399 (EDU $2248)
24" 3.06GHz - $2999 (EDU $2787)
