While Apple didn't invent the mouse, it went a long way to popularising its use with the Macintosh. To this day Apple remains focussed on making sure the primary interface to your computer (the mouse), is still easy to use by maintaining a single button. In later years however, this has come up for debate often, with more and more people familiar with contextual menus as a primary way of accessing application features.
