iPhone & Mobile phone forum added

Yes, we've added an iPhone forum

Click the image to open in full size.
Since everyone in Australia is talking about the iPhone, I figured we'd better catch up to January and add an iPhone specific forum.

It's actually titled "iPhone & Mobile Phones", so it covers any mobile phone discussion be it Nokia, Sony Ericcson, connecting a phone to your mac, service providers etc.

So jump in, check out some of the Australian iPhone pictures (the pic above was taken by Peter Yan), speculate which carrier will bring us the iPhone or just discuss which phone you have in general.

Oh, and check out Ozimac's guide on Activating an iPhone without AT&T (or mobile service) in Australia.

Enjoy!

Also... we've updated a few current forums:
  • our iPod forum has been broadened to all mp3 players and online music stores.
  • Other Technology & the Internet has been renamed to emphasise 'gadgets' like PDA's, usb aquarium filters. As well as adding 'tech news' to the description. This is where you discuss ISP's, tech related law making, and so on.

Hey great stuff Mactalk.

There are a lot of iPhone owners coming out of the wood work her in Aus, so its great people can share their experiences with others considering getting one ....... That is before they are officially released here .

Unlike another site who I wont mention, you guys are a lot more liberal about what people say about using them and unlocking them etc so well done and thanks for supporting the Aussie Mac users who are passionate about Apple products.

If they took the 0 off the end of that, I'd buy it just for sentimental value, hah
