Looks like just the MacBooks right now (probably because they were just speed bumped )

Must be very difficult for all resellers to get rid of stock that without notice from Apple, becomes "old stock" or "obsolete".

Is good to see a reseller promoting savings to MacTalk though!

If an equally minuscule update to the MacBook Pros are announced soon, I'll be looking out for deals like this one. _b

This couldn't have come soon enough! My mum is looking to replace her aging 2002 Compaq laptop and the second deal sounds supersweet; in fact it is a better deal than Apple's current 2Ghz Macbook with only a combo drive even with at educational prices (my dad school councellor).

And speakers!

Now to convince her to jumpship to Mac.

Still an Apple fan but cannot forgive them for pulling FireWire support from the MacBooks!

can the macbooks even address 4 gigs of ram? Even the macbook pros can only address 3gb i thought. or maybe you mean that you upgraded each of the macbooks to 2gigs a total of 4gb

As far as I know, they are limited to 3Gb as well.

The $120 question?

(MA701X/A) MacBook 13" 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/1GB/120GB/SuperDrive/AirPort/Bluetooth (Black)
MacTalk Member Price: $1665.00 from frequency..

or

i can get a new (MB062X/A) 2.16GHz MacBook white for $1785 from apple online store now. (my employer has a partner program/deal)

120 buys 1gb more ram? but what is the better buy? side by side (minus the extra memory, its a given) is it $120 better or worse?

not worried about colour, its not an issue/concern/dosent matter. is the new one $120 better than the old black one?

faster dvd burner (burning digital photos off would be nice) and slightly faster performance,802.11n, seem to be the only improvements?

I will be editing images in pscs3 (and or aperture, if I decided to give it a try),
(or the old white one for $1615?) the $170 question.

**thats if they have any left?

Go for the extra RAM. The 160MHz won't make a difference, the 802.11n can be downloaded for free if you know where and the extra DVD-RW speed makes about 10-15 seconds difference in reality

Get the white one too, if colour doesn't matter to you, save the cash
