You neat freaks put me to shame .....

One of my teachers told me that a tidy desk is a sign of an empty mind, so going on that premise, I must have a very full mind. Exactly what it is full of is quite another question, but about once a year the accumulation of shite on my desk gets to me and I reduce it by a few percent.
[/b]
Believe me that it takes considerable effort to keep it that neat...

Behind the wall behind my G5 is a cupboard FULL of drawers full of all my miscellaneous cables, papers and other shit The shot doesn't include all the stuff I took off the desks and whatnot to make it look nicer either.

I've decided this time I'm going to live in a neat and clean apartment. I just like the feeling of coming home to a place that hasn't got stuff all over the floor, tables and whatnot.

Oh, and this isn't really computer related, but I thought I should throw a pic up anyway.

You should tidy up thos cords around the speaker stands, and cabinet. Hide the xBox & DVD player, photo and maybe the cube aswell, then it would look beautiful!

EDIT: Wrong name.

Hey elSpike

Your desk is covered in almost as much shite as mine, and I was too embarrased to show it.

Maybe I'll do so later today too.

And maybe a pic of the rats nest of cables behind and under everything too.

Lucky you. When I posted my setup I got shock responses. :\

I bought a nice big desk to make more room, and allow myself to start again... annnd how. More room only meant cluttering the desk with more crap... now I can't even get to the keyboards, etc, luckily I've bought a 24" Dell LCD, and can see the top half over the junk rising.

:P

I am running OS X 10.3.9 on the G4's (with QMaster off the Final Cut Studio discs)

As for the Octane, I am running Irix 6.5 (all I run is LightWave 3D on it)

Here is another pic of the SGI and some shots of my home theatre :P

@Surpher

Your SGI rig is too cool!
I've always wanted to get an octane with the widescreen LCD, i remember seeing those when they first came out, blew everything out of the water. Such a shame that SGI management lost the plot.

I was thinking a while ago of getting a SGI for Lightwave projects. What version of Lightwave are you running on the it?, what is the performance like?

Dammit, I want an Octane as well. Next time I'm in Tokyo I'll have to see if they are still available. They were very reasonably priced even a few years ago.
