• Bloomberg tells us that "industry experts" are saying Apple should be more forthcoming with the health of Steve Jobs.


• Apple likes to turn perceived disadvantages, into advantages. Case in point - App Store approval process is a good way to keep malicious apps out, instead of a complex software based security system.


• Optus has a really weird "Happy Place" PR stunt going on down in Circular Quay, for the iPhone 3G S launch. AppleSource & Gizmodo check it out. A bunch of blowhards (except Firement) are talking crap about how they use their iPhone.


• John Carmack tells Forbes how much he digs the iPhone as a gaming platform.


• The tap tap tap guys show us how grunty the iPhone 3G S is when it comes to 3D graphics. They found it to be 4x faster in a range of benchmarks.


• CNet's Crave blog list 5 steps Apple can take to make the iPhone the leading handheld gaming platform.


• The New York Times blog writes how inaccurate laptop battery testing is.

• Rocking a Canon 5D Mark II? Trammell Hudson has made a replacement firmware for the camera, called Magic Lantern, that has many tweaks for video shooting.


• Linkinus, an IRC client I quite enjoy when I have to delve into that seedy IRC underbelly, has been updated to v2.0 and brings the snazzy.


• Macworld get hands on with a pair of Bluetooth headphones and iPhone OS 3.0.
