I just put a 320GB Seagate Momentus 5400.5 (5400rpm) into my macbook. I know it is not on your list, but it is performing well. My only complaint is that it is slightly more noisy than the Toshiba unit it replaced, but the extra space makes it worth while.

EDIT: Any particular reason(s) you are looking at those drives?

Can't advise on the other disks but I believe I read somewhere that the WD Scorpio may have motion sensors like Macbooks do, except Macbooks do it with the entire system in mind, if the WD Scorpio does it, it may crash your Mac with a grey screen, mostly when you bump your Macbook.

Look into it.

No, Just looking for a compatible one. And looking for one that is not too noisy, since I am using macbook for music and photos most of the time.

Thanks for sharing. I check out 2.5" SATA - MacFixit Australia Store where the couple of harddisk listed for Macbook online.

I am looking out for more info before deciding on which one to get.

I think any 2.5" SATA drive will do. I'm probably getting a 320gb I think, plenty of room for everything.
