Safari or Firefox?
I have to say I miss my Firefox that I had on my PC, but am told I can use that as my preferred browser on my new iMac as well? Do I have to download a special mac version - what do you all use?
Cheers
T

Go to Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable and it will automagically give you the right version to download

I have tried many web browsers, with Safari being my favourite.

Now that I've discovered 1Password, I prefer Safari.

I love WebKit, which is pretty much Safari Beta, but it's still really stable.

Google Chrome.
When it comes out, of course.
But seriously, Firefox. Plugins/Extensions rock, and 1Password works with it as well!

I prefer Firefox over safari. One of the key selling points for me is the Bookmarks Toolbar. I realise Safari has something similar but I like that Fact that the Firefox version doesn't display the names of the websites just the logos.

Safari all the way. Tried them all (OmniWeb, Firefox, Internet Explorer [not a joke!] and Camino) but I always come back to Safari.

Yeah I'm a firefoxer here too...
To make sure that OS X defaults to firefox, should you wish to do so, you need to open Safari, go into File-Preferences, and then choose it as default...
(Same if you don't want to default to Apple's Mail application).

Whoa. How?
My bookmarks toolbar doesn't show the favicon at all - just the text.

I'm using the bleeding edge WebKit nightly on my desktop, and Safari 1.3.2 on the iBook. Both work like a dream. They keep the web browsing experience simple and uncluttered for me, just the way it should be.

On a Mac: Safari 3, then Firefox 3 if Safari is not available.
On a PC: Firefox 3, then IE 7 if Firefox is not available.
