EXIF Data from Web Images

As being new to Mac, I've been using Safari which was preinstalled on my MBP but I now find that I can't open EXIF data on images on the web. I can get it if I download the image to desktop etc but thats something I wouldn't be bothered with. Being in a photog forum, having EXIF is crucial.

Is there a plug in for Safari (OSX Leopard) or do I need to move to a different browser. FF3 is on my PC tower and its not really friendly - almost clunky. Ive heard of Camino but also heard that its a memory hog and I dont know whether it has an EXIF view.

thanks for any advice

As far as I'm aware it's not available for Safari, and I am currently using V4 developer preview in Snow Leopard. I have certainly not heard of any plug-in that would do it either.

In the Random Photography thread we have here on Mactalk we ask people to include the image details along with the picture.... so I'd say it's unlikely that it is available, sorry.

I'm not sure how it works on a PC though, where / when does it show up?

On a PC once you have Opanda installed you just right click on an image, select EXIF data (assuming the data hasn't been stripped by PP) and a window pops up with everything you need to know. Very simple and easy to use.

Below is a screen capture using IE with the Opanda plug in - pop up on the right.

Click the image to open in full size.

Well I've found this - it's not exactly what you wanted though. There is a "button" on the right that you can drag to the bit above the browser viewer area (the silver bit where your bookmarks etc can go) and it will then take you to a page that displays the exif data.
