PDF files

I have a graphics-heavy file created in Pages and want to send it as a pdf. The "save as pdf" print option creates a 1.2mb file, which is a wee bit big for some on dialup.

Are there any simple options for saving as a smaller sized pdf?

Thanks for any help.

Pages has an option to Export to PDF (File - Export...) where you can set quality options. Try reducing the quality and seeing if it still looks good enough and reduce the PDF size.

Did you CHECK the exporting options in pages with PDFs before posting? As suggested you can change the quality, but check the size after changing the quality. Oddly enough I've found sometimes the lower quality files result in larger files with quality thats about the same or a tad less. My only explanation for it was that the best quality wasn't compressing the imported images and the file sizes weren't so bad in the first place.

If you want it emailable, try Draft quality.

Thank you both for the replies, no I didn't check, I had no idea Pages would do that, AMAZING program, so much better than MS Office.

I got the file down to 240k and still looks OK for emailing. Thanks again for the support.
