I want to test iChat
Hi,
I've had a Mac for about 6 months and I haven't tried iChat because I thought you needed .Mac but I just discovered you can use your Google Talk username. So can someone add my email address to their iChat and talk to me.

ANOTHER EDIT: Please close this thread now, I have tested iChat now.

I just want to see what iChat is like so when (or if, im a bit optimistic) someone in my family gets a Mac (im so persuasive) we can do iChat.

You can also use a free AIM screen name. That's what I've always used.

jabber is a different account. You have to set up an AIM ichat account, which you can then add buddy's too.
Set one up in your ichat Acc prefs when you get an aim screen name from www.aim.com . I don't know if google talk accounts can add aim buddys.

You can also use iChat with ICQ users (old school). This is the same as adding an AIM account.
