I thought I'd check in with you guys - I am looking for a weekly podcast, that is hopefully Australian, that plays new and mid 90's, but good songs. Mainstream songs, with minmal talking and "farting" around -anyone know any?

When will iTunes fully support podcasting?

you can't just put copyrighted music on a podcast. that would be rather illegal.

if iTunes are going to be doing it for promotions of the iTMS, I am sure someone out there is doing it legally....

EDIT: If podcasts are just people wanking on, then they won't last long no one can stand another bloody John Laws.

well maybe the iTMS will provide podcasts with music that you pay for, but there's no way it'll be free with music.

Probably... We'll see.

Someone will be doing podcasts with songs, that are legal. I can gurantee it, even if fees apply.

All i know is that JJJ can only include music in it's podcasts if the artists (usually small, independent Aussie groups looking for some promo) agree to it. So i doubt very much you will find a decent and legal podcast playing all the mainstream stuff from the 90's and now. Seeing as Jobs was harking on about it so much, chances are Apple are hoping to be the first ones with a paid subscription podcast service that plays decent music, not just talk and the like.

yeah maybe, but I don't personally want to listen to music like that. I think I'd rather choose the music that I want, when I want it - and also podcasts are usually saved at a low bitrate suitable for voice, to keep the file size down. I don't really want to hear tunes at 64kbps

I'm very interested to see how Apple have implemented podcasting into iTunes. Any rumors as to when 4.9 is coming yet?

Thanks tommelbourne.

I can't really see an upside to podcasting yet... Okay, anyone know any stand up comedy pod casts that are good?

Be good if someone around here makes a list of podcasts. I mean a detailed list in the articles section or something, not just a dodgy post

All I care about right now (since music isn't available in Podcasts yet) is that my favoritist radio show The Cage is available on podcasting at their webpage on triplem.com.au.

Me = happy chappy
