Default (thread replaced) problem reading video file on pc that was altered by mac

I've got footage of my grandmother on a video file that was originally on my husband's pc. Before she died I had to transfer some of these files to my mac so that my husband had room on his hard drive to download something. Now that I have sent them back to his pc they cannot be read on his pc. They are showing up as a folder containing: source, jacket p and cache.
How do I get them restored to how they were?

Do you recall what their names used to end with?

ie:

A Word document ends in .doc
Certain picture files end in .jpg
Certain music files end in .mp3
And certain movie files end in .avi

Can you recall what these movie files ended in, on your Apple Mac, or originally on you the Windows PC?

My husband isn't 100% sure. Said that it was in a 'video ts' file created using windows media maker if that helps.
Thank you for your response!

Sorry - you'll need someone who uses and understands Window PCs / Windows Media Maker application, to answer this question, and though this is a chiefly Apple Mac forum, there are Windows Users here.

If no response comes forth on this thread, create a new thread with a different title - ie: Windows Media Maker VOB files.

Cheers,

cw
