fasicinating - a more intresting thing to do would be to look at ipod setups....
ok i use the shuffles a lot - they get synced all the time - they have my podcasts on them and my music - i have one for to/from work and one for running
then i have my 'real' ipod which is full of lots of music and most importantley - language courses and spoken books
each of my ipods has a copy of my resume on it and some other 'handy' software (scripts)
my preference is to take the OLD shuffle with me everywhere so thats got 900meg of music on it - i like to take this with me cause its got a standard USB port - i use this also as a standard usb thumb-drive rather then carrying one of them with me....
well thats my ipod setup :-)

I've just got myself an 8gb touch (which I'm posting this from). It's an upgrade from my 20gb 3rd gen. I also have a clock radio dock from the warehouse that the touch happens to work in, even the remote works in the menu. The gf has a 1st gen 2gb nano. We got an xtreme mac car charger and fm transmitter to use with what ever iPod we take.

Just got my iPod touch on Monday. Time to retire the 2-year-old iPod shuffle (1st gen).

Have just started using a 3rd Gen Nano, Headsix and Alessandro MS-Pros at work and it's sounding pretty sweet.

I have the 30GB 5G iPod for podcasts and full albums, and a 512MB iPod shuffle for running.
I use a pair of Sennheiser LX90s with both (fan-bloody-tastic)
