Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic

Ok it's October so any day now we should see the new iPod headsets. Who else is waiting to give these a test drive ?

I've very interested in this depending on sound isolation performance and iPhone 3G compatibility.

BTW, "October" means October 31.

Oooh yeah, I have these on order for my store and I am very interested in comparing them to the "V-Moda Vibe Duo"... Would like a pair for myself as I liked the original Apple In-Ear Earphones a lot - despite others not finding them to their liking. Guess it depends on whether your ears are compatible!

I'll probably get these as long as they are iPhone compatible, even though it doesn't mention iPhone at all on their compatibility page :S

I'm super keen for them.

I think its been said a number of times they will work with iPhone but you wont be able to control the volume. Just play and pause like we have now.

That's only speculation, I hope that's the case but we won't know for sure until someone has tested them.

$109 is not a bad price-seeing as other dual driver type earphones can cost more than that.

Apparently, the earphones should work for audio-only on other players that aren't the iPhone or touch.

I will not be happy if the volume control doesn't work with the iPhone 3G.

It'll certainly be interesting as to what degree these work with the iPhone 3G.

Here's hoping it's only software differences and 2.2 adds support for these in!

The remote and mic are supported only by iPod nano (4th generation), iPod classic (120GB), and iPod touch (2nd generation). Audio is supported by all iPod models.

these will be on display in an apple centre right? although the thought of putting something in my ear after being in someone's (potentially waxy) ear, turns me off.
