Can't run iPhone w/ iTunes at work...

So I use my iPhone at work for music.. at the moment I do it directly via speakers.. since I can't do it via iTunes as it says that I have to erase and then sync. Don't really want to do that at work.. What can I do to play the music from the iPhone on the Mac at work?

Set the iPhone to 'Manually Manage Music'.

Quickest and easiest solution... but you lose the automagic syncing.

you don't need to use your ipod to do this.

take a look at Simplify Media - Learn More

assuming your work mac is connected to internet...and your home mac is also....then Simplify will let your work mac play the entire playlist that's on your home mac.

you do not need to have itunes running on your home mac. just have Simplify up and running on your home mac whilst connected to the internet.

good luck...

Speaking as the dude who looks after a corporate network, please for the love of [insert deity here] don't stream shit across your work link! It slows down work stuff for everyone else!! That happens and the network guys cops flack cos shits not working.

Do the manually manage music thing instead and give the network guys a break :P
