Red face 80gb iPod: Clickwheel not functioning.
I have my sons 80 gig ipod the menu wheel does not seem to be doing anything, the padlock icon is showing on the screen but the lock slide is not in the lock position, could this be stopping the wheel from working ? Any help is appreciated

Try a reset, by pressing the centre button and then holding the menu button for 5 seconds. See if this works.

If the padlock is showing on the screen, it means the ipod is on hold, so maybe you have a faulty hold button. Try flicking it back and forth for a while to get it out of hold. Try connecting it to a computer also, I don't know why this would help but hey, it might.
