iPod Touch / jailbroken / DFU'd / 2.0 will it work?
I originally jailbroke my touch wil Ziphone. I then restored it via DFU mode and jailbroke it iLiberty+. I have now restored it again via DFU mode.
Question is, is there any way to know whether upgrading now from 1.1.4 to 2.0 will work or will it become a brick.
Thanks,
Chris

Works fine, especially if you've restored stock 1.1.4 through DFU mode beforehand, only query is do you have the Jan update Mail, Maps, Notes, Weather, Stocks, etc.?
If you do then take the precaution of deleting all your email accounts in 1.1.4 before then syncing again and doing a backup. As some, including me, once the firmware is restored (updated) to 2.0, have had the problem of restoring the last backup from 1.1.4 causing Mail app not to work due to the differences in the kind of settings. Everything else already worked fine for me the first time on 2.0.

Huh, where did you get that idea -stealing- from.
No one said anything about not paying for the 2.0 update or for the Jan update. You read something which wasn't there.
Try reading again. WTF!
I explained how to avoid problems when restoring a backup from 1.1.4 on a newly updated 2.0 iPod touch when iTunes asks do you want to set it up as a new iPod or restore from backup -settings that is-.

I have the paid update from January. I wasn't planning to restore any settings, assumed they be different. I just wanted some piece of mind from someone who has gone though the motions before I buy the update and still have a working ipod touch after its said and done.
Really appreciate the feedback.
I am guessing from the overall lack of feedback that either a) no one has gone through this process b) too caught up in iphone hype too comment or c) must thinki'm stupid for asking it.
Anyway thanks again. Maybe some others who have done this will comment.
Chris.

Well. All done. I did do a final DFU restore to 1.1.4 to ensure it was a stock standard configuration.
