Supposedly this is possible, but I can't get it to work. Is there anyway of making the app cache driving directions for reference offline (in the car)? This application is next to useless in Australia without the ability to use it offline. I know that some Americans and Europeans have confirmed that it works offline, but can anyone here get it to work?

All I've ever gotten it to do is cache the surrounding map if you add the location to your bookmarks (1.1.2).

My workaround for using it on an iTouch is using the screen capture app to grab screenshots of the route. Google maps online does the heavy lifting for calculating routes.

There's no technical reason why the *results* couldn't be cached though. Would be nice if that was a feature of 1.1.3 .
