There are a number of ways to get your artwork into itunes, once there it should load direct to your ipod.

Yeah, google is good because it allows you the option of sourcing some pretty high grade artwork.. If you have an itunes account, they provide great artwork if your album is in their library.

I sourced all of mine individually when it was still iTunes4. I can't imagine how many hours i wasted.

... i've got all of those albums on the site

Same - I right click and click "get album artwork", works 99% of the time - the rest I just search on google and get it from there.

Be wary of grabbing your artwork from iTunes en masse. It can download some very weird covers. I havent got the time to sort through all of mine to delete all the dodgy covers iTunes decided matched my music. Very annoying on the iPod!

Thinking about it, I should add them to an on-the-go playlist as i find them to save sorting.

Check that the problem is not in labeling your music in itunes, I have never had any dodgy artwork from itunes. But when I add a song I have downloaded, I google it to see what album it is from before entering the details in itunes. Often songs from the same artist can appear on more than one album. For example, how many Frank Sinatra albums include, "My Way"?

I've hooked up an old scanner and have started to scan cover art from albums as I import them, as I found some of them just don't exist anywhere in a reasonable resolution.

I second this! Amazon Art widget has never not matched an album for me, and they're all nice high res pics.

The iTunes Store is the recommended first point of call because the art from there isn't embedded in the individual tracks, saving disk space. Between the Oz and US stores most of my collection is covered.
