iPod Touch 1.1.1 Update

Apple spat this out earlier today, it's supposed to fix the following things: "bugs"
http://www.macrumors.com/2007/09/27/...-1-1-1-update/

Ah, anyone got any info they want to share regarding the update?

I've installed it on my touch and there's no problems or even anything new to notice. So I'm guessing it's behind the scenes bug fixing.

I haven't noticed any differences either. I did manage to get Mobile Safari to crash yesterday.

When an application crashes, the next time you sync, it copies the crash logs to your computer and asks you to send them to Apple.

Yeah I crashed mobile Safari last night trying to log into Meebo on its regular page, rather than the touch-friendly version. Damn thing jammed up then went back to the home menu. When I plugged it back into the dock, iTunes told me that the iPod held important info and it wanted to send it to Apple. I told it not to because they might use it to send blenders to me or something...

You've over stretched the download. be careful you could tear a hole in the internet!

haven't upgraded to 1.1.1 yet.. i also got safari to crash going to meebo.com.. will see if it still crashes when on 1.1.1.

ps; where are the fucking ipod touch games??? i don't have wireless at work.. i want offline games damn it!

Cancelled & deleted the download and started over, worked fine. Update applied and no problems!

bought a 16GB iPod touch this morning...
plugged it in...
did the update
still syncing now (good old USB 2.0)

but all seems to be fine.
I hope I can still add / amend contacts with v1.1.1
and still hope that this one or FUTURE updates will allow us to edit / add calendar entries!

Let's all bombard Apple with this request and see if we can get it back!

Contacts still work exactly as they did before. Same with the calendar, unfortunately.

Engadget's iPhone 1.1.1 Update summary is saying that this update reverts an unlocked iPhone into a third-party-hostile, AT&T-only iPhone, and TUAW is saying "Don't expect a jailbreak for some time". There's also reports of it bricking both virgin and unlocked phones, and Apple aren't helping some iBrick owners.
