Pogue reviewed it...
he liked it.. but he says that music playback is its weakest feature.. (as you need to retrieve it from your pocket to pause it) unlike the iphone which can be done from headphones and traditional ipods which you can do through your pocket....

other than that..

my review without even seeing it...

iT sucks.... no calendar manipulation has pretty much binned it for me (and considering you can use it for contact management (ie edit, add and delete) to have the calendar feature gimped just makes me mad.

I agree, and sadly, its confirmed by this - http://www.macnn.com/articles/07/09/...eatures.guide/

The Calendar section contains info only on viewing and syncing. Grr.

That's barely a review! He's just reeling off features that Apple announced the other week! There's no hint that he's actually used the iPod touch for any longer than the couple of minutes he may have got last week. There's nothing in that 'review' that hasn't already been said by Apple or any other sites' 'first looks' at the touch.

Basically, it's a nothing review written to get published in time for the iPod touch's release.

I just tried accessing my order status on apple.com.au. Their phone and online order status systems are down.

I haven't cancelled it yet

3G iPhone perhaps on the 18th - so we shall sit on it and wait. But if iPod touch is out before 3G iPhone, I'll grab the touch, then get the 3G iPhone when it comes out and have a touch (probably pass it on to my sister or girlfriend) and the iPhone
