Playing a video podcast/videocast on my iPod
I downloaded something that was described as a videocast into iTunes, and it played fine there. But when I synced it onto my (video) iPod I got a message saying the file format wouldn't play on the iPod ... I have no idea what format it's in as it went straight into iTunes.

Any clues on what I should do to make it play on the iPod? I tried the 'convert selection for iPod' but that didn't make any difference ...

Select the file and then 'Get Info', what format is the file in? For it to play on the iPod it needs to be MPEG-4.

When you did 'Convert selection to iPod' it will create second copy of that file, but in the correct format for iPod.

Was a second file created? If so, can you place that on the iPod?

Hmm - well I did the 'get info' thing and it is MPEG-4. But I still get that error message! And I did another 'convert to iPod' but I have no idea where the converted copy would go! i've looked but can't find it - any clues?!

Do a search in iTunes and see if it brings up the files.

I have had a couple of podcasts that would not go onto my iPod, despite being the correct format, I just downloaded it again and it allowed me to transfer it to my iPod.
