Removing rights protection from ITMSau songs?

Was there not a smart dude that cracked the digital rights management on the ITMS files he down loaded?

If so is there any documentation to support it?

I have a 6 pack bet on this with a mate who says it is BS, I am sure that it has been done however.

(started drinking too early today, still 7 hours till NYE - may need a catnap!

The easiest way is to burn a cd and the rip the cd into iTunes. When ripped the DRM is removed.

There was a dude who did this (nickname dvd John or something) via some software.

I do know the name of the software, but I am not sure I should post it on here, as I am sure that would probably be against fourm rules, and I am not sure if it even works anymore.

Burning a CD is a very simple yet effective way of removing the DRM. Each CD that you make is also a form of backup of the music you purchased.

Squid7085 is referring to another software method, which I can confirm does not work with itunes 6 or greater. I think it stopped working in the version 5 somewhere.
