Just doing some research for uni and i noticed the Australian apple store has just gone down.
Powerbook updates? iTMS? we'll know in an hour!!!
EDIT: I just noticed that all those new countries are European. Perhaps Oceania/Asia are about to be updated.

Okay - since last night the Apple Australia site has had a tab up the top that links to 'iPod+ITunes' that replaced the previous 'iPod' one - which was still present on the Apple Store website.
In addition, the link for that tab is to ' www.apple.com.au/itunes/' not '/ipod'.
I know that this seems a little meaningless because it appears we won't get the store. But interesting nonetheless...

As 'joshy'(?) mentioned, all of the stores everywhere are down, as per what they usually do when there are product updates (i.e. the U2 iPod, etc) - however.. other rumour sites have posted reports that it's definitely only the ones in the screen capture from Adam - being Austria, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain..
Maybe next time eh..

iTunes expands into nine more European countries
By Peter Cohen - pcohen@maccentral.com
Shortly before Apple's special music event on Tuesday featuring Bono and The Edge from U2, the iTunes Music Store was updated with links to allow residents of nine new countries to buy music online. In addition to the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, iTunes now supports Austria, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.

Actually there is -
20GB U2 SE - $512.60 (rrp $569)
40GB Photo - $719.40 (rrp $799)
60GB Photo - $853.60 (rrp $949)
Don't reckon I'm going to jump the gun on these yet though. Best to see how they shake out, even if demand is crazy before Christmas.

Not sure if I would say 'bad' yet - but with its green battery indicator and blue scroll bars, it kinda looks a bit too 'XP' to me, you know?

Maybe that's the point. Revenge for Microsofts stunts in the 1980's. It's not too bad for an MP3 player. Just not as minimalist as usual.
