It has been asked before, but I can't be stuffed finding it.
This should help: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/23003
Note: WMA is a crap format, and don't expect mircales! If you can get songs directly into mp3 I'd just do that

Only the PC version of iTunes can automatically convert WMA. Get a friend with a PC to help.

You'll need to find other software.
Check out this thread which should help you:

The windows version of iTunes will let you drag non protected WMA files into iTunes but it will then convert them to either AAC or MP3 for you depending on what your settings are.
So if you have a windows PC available you could even do it that way.

Does ffmpegx do batch processing?
It would be a pain to do every song of an album one by one!

I find ffmpegX doesn't always work with .wma files, and doesn't do batch conversion (unless you can bash script using it's internal unix commands)
This next bit is not an answer to the "batch" question, but to convert WMA using all free/bundled software ...
- Download and install Flip4Mac . It will allow QuickTime to play Windows Media files (but unfortunately not iTunes*)
- Create a new iMovie project, then drag your .wma file into it.
- Choose File > Export ... , choose "Expert Settings", click "Share" and then choose either AIFF (so iTunes can convert it into MP3) or MPEG-4 (and save as an m4a file)
*if you have QuickTime Pro, open up your .WMA file in QuickTime and hit "Save As" to put it in a .mov container. iTunes can read this ".wma in a .mov container" format.
