I recently got an iTunes Music Card as a birthday gift. It's a $50 Card, but that's not the problem. The problem comes after redeeming the card on iTMS.

The way the card works - you have to enter a 12 or 16 digit code found on the card within iTMS itself. I did as told and the credit of $50 appears on the top right hand corner of the iTMS window next to my user name.

What I keep getting is that everytime I buy a song/album/anything, it keeps charging the cost to my credit card instead of debiting the iTunes Music Card credit of $50.

Does anyone else have this problem? I set up my iTMS account initially with my credit card, but it shouldn't be the problem.

Any thoughts would be good. I emailed iTMS support and waiting for reply.

Have u tried signing out of the iTunes music store with your account then trying it?

I tried everything the support page suggested.

Thing is, I registered an iTMS account with my credit card in the first place.

The iTunes Music Card was used a few months after I registered for my account with iTMS.

I clicked on the link on the left column and entered the code accordingly and the credit on my account shows on the top right corner. BUT I cannot seem to use the credit on that. iTMS keeps charging my credit card on file and refuses to use the credit I have. Very frustrating.

Have you tried logging into you ITMS account and deleting your credit cards details then using the card?
