Hello,
Songs I have purchased through iTunes automatically D/L the artowk into the app, but how do I get the artwork to albums I've D/L from CD? I've tried dragging the artwork from the iTMS into the app as the little window says but it doesn't work.
Any thoughts?

A little script that costs only a few online dollars is
iTunesCool - http://www.itunescool.com/
It has a trial version that will do 5 tracks so you can see if you like it!!
It processes and downloads artwork for you entire collection and lyrics in the latest version and then creates a playlist with all the songs that have missing artwork and lyrics, it also allows some export options and is a great little script when considering a whole CD collection which is what I had a few years ago when I moved it all to digital format.
Latest version is 3.5 and support is great I get updated reg keys emailed to me and everything - don't know about if you actually have a problem with it though.
Cheers
Now someone can explain the free but time consuming drag and drop method!!

The time consuming method isn't as bad as it sounds,
There is a widget u can get off apple.com
http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/m...martwidget.html
which automatically pulls the album art for the track that u r playing in iTunes. you can then choose the album art for the song or tghe album and it will automatically D/L it into your library and save it.
not as painful as the drag and drop, but it can take a while

This one is free. It grabs artwork off Amazon. If you cannot get a cover on amazon you can search google images. It is best if the image is at least 200 x 200 otherwise the artwork is smaller. Then just dragthe image icon into artwork .window. You must do it for each song.
You'll work it out.
EDIT- itunescool sounds like might be worth paying for. i am going to get it.

Drop the artwork onto the artwork window under the source list on the left [where it s ays drag album artwork here].
If you don't see that, click the 4th button along on the bottom left - a square with an up arrow in it

You don't have to click and drag for each individual song.
If you select the whole album using click-shift (click the first song of the album, then go to the last hold shift and click the final song) then press apple+I or right click get info. The click the check box for albumart and drag the picture into this. This should fill the whole album art section for the album

I purchased itunes cool last night and had it fetch artwork. It did a fairly good job but I was surprised by which tracks it couldn't find artwork for as it seemed a little random. Many were single songs from albums that it had found artwork for so something doesn't quite work properly there.
I tried getting the lyrics, which is what I really wanted, but it crashes with Error code -4 after about ten or so fetches. I emailed the author about it and got a prompt reply, so hopefully it'll be rectified soon.
The only gripe I'd say I have with the script is that it gives random progress reports. I would've preferred a constant progress bar rather than some willy-nilly popup window that splashes on the screen for a tenth of a second telling me that there's 301 tracks left to get artwork/lyrics for...

If Amazon doesn't have what you want (or doesn't have it high quality) and any of the iTunes Music Stores do, try:
http://tpemble.urfbownd.net/itunes/itunes-art.php
Edit Plus, the quickest way to select all songs in an album at once is to click on the album name in the "Albums" section of the "Browse" pane, and then Cmd+I to bring up the Tag editor for all songs. Works equally well for selecting all songs by one artist, or in one Genre (necessary for fixing songs which CDDB claims is in the genre Alternative/Rock/Punk when it's Easy Listening).
