i'm installing darwin experimentally...

I get to the part of the installation where i specifiy a volume name.
whatever i specifiy, causes the installation to "result in a bad volume name" and aborts the installation and crashses.
i don't use long names or any odd characters.

this is totally stupid. :angry:
what am i doing wrong?

may post up a screen of the installation crashing later.
