Apparently there is a new official version of MSN Messenger coming out for Mac which would probably bring it inline with v7.0 for the PC.

Not sure about the audio stuff but Adium offers a fair bit.

I use Skype for audio stuff now.

For the moment

www.mactopia.com and download MSN for Mac (new version being worked on announced at WWDC 2005 - hope it supports video)

or setup MSN through Jabber - www.jabber.org.au

and then use ichatto access jabber which can access your MSN buddies.

Cheers

MS's Mactopia manager, Ms. Ho said in WWDC 2005 that MS will release newer version of MSN in FEW months. So, just wait and see.

ipod man - During Steve's keynote he invites Ms Ho - Microsoft Mac Business Unit Manager to the stage and she announces that they are working on a new MSN Messenger for Mac and it will be released in the coming months.

Cheers

Hey ipod_man:

I noticed that no one else had mentioned this until this thread..

As simonpeng said above, it was mentioned in the brief on-stage presentation within Steve's keynote by the General Manager of Microsoft's Macintosh Business, Roz Ho (the division of MS that develops Microsoft products for Mac - i.e. Office, MSN Messenger, etc)..

I watched it again last night and it was after the announced the chip changes, but before the Intel CEO came up.. she came on at the 45 minute mark and spoke about what MS was working on for the new systems.

I recommend everyone go watch the keynote again - as with most movies/tv shows, you tend to miss things first time 'round so you're best seeing it again rather than reading the media and everyone else's interpretation of what was said..

Did you see the bit where Steve announced the Quicksilver box was coming back!!??
