Ok so it has been far longer than I intended between mini-reviews but here is mini-review number 2!

BlogAssist

BlogAssist can be downloaded from here.

BlogAssist is free as in money not source.

BlogAssist is a system menu item to format text on the clipboard to help blog entry the website would have you believe but I think its much more than that . Basically what is does is you copy something to the clip board like:
Code:
http://gaehl.com/gallery/albums/blogassist/Picture_1.png
open up the BlogAssist menu select say Image and on the clipboard will be:
Code:
<img src="http://gaehl.com/gallery/albums/blogassist/Picture_1.png" alt="REPLACE ME" />

<center>Click the image to open in full size.</center>
<center>UnModified Menu</center>

The default menu items in the BlogAssist menu include HTML links, LiveJournal (a type of blogging) tags, and HTML formatting.

<center>Click the image to open in full size.</center>
<center>Modified Menu</center>

The menu after I had a fiddle with it as you can see I have gotten rid of the LiveJournal items as I don't use LiveJournal. I have also added a section for Appletalk Forums (some of these entries were used in the writing of this article).

<center>Click the image to open in full size.</center>
<center>Modifying the Menu</center>

Modifying the menu is easy to do it just involves putting in a name and then what is to be put on the clipboard you can also use {value} to put what was on the clipboard before in at this point.

Conclusion
Overall BlogAssist is very useful for people who blog or use forums often. Its very stable and un-intrusive. It doesn't do much but what it does to it does well. The Only things that could be added are shortcut keys and the ability to select text and have the new text replace it with no fiddling with the clipboard which would probably be very hard to implement.
