Don't know if this is possible, but figured it might be cool. Playing with a friends brand new 15" powerbook today she has the apple wireless keyboard and mouse and I just know she will forget to turn off her devices when she's finished using the computer.

Is it possible to use Automator when she selects "Shutdown" from her Apple menu to display a reminder to turn off her wireless devices?

Have to say this was my first time seeing 10.4 in action, Spotlight was very cool, so quick. Really like the effect when you add another widget to dashboard too. Another friend who saw me dragging a new widget across was completely jealous that her new Dell doesn't do same

Turn off the mouse, maybe, but the keyboard lasts 6 months before it dies. Mouse lasts a few weeks.

The devices have power saving modes in them, as well. I leave my keyboard on all the time, and I only use my bluetooth mouse for when it's needed (Hardly ever - I prefer the tracking of USB).

But is it possible to use Automator to create a reminder after clicking on shutdown?
