iChat Error

On Mac OS 10.5.4, logging into iChat on certain machines produces the following error:

Could not connect to AIM

You have attempted to login too often in a short period of time.
Wait a few minutes before trying to login again.

I'm seeing this on random iMac Intel Core 2 Duos when I upgrade them from Mac OS 10.5.2 to Mac OS 10.5.4. iChat worked fine before the upgrade, and after - no dice.

I have already tried changing iChat's Server Ports from: 5190 to 443, removing the com.apple.ichat etc plist from the User Preferences, and creating a New Account.

Is this yet another insoluble Leopard feck up ?

I use ichat daily on an intel mac running 10.5.4 and for the life of me have never seen that message before.

Are there any logs which may point to something that might be the cause?

Yeah - I do too RatBag - yet I've noticed that one out of three Intel Core 2 Duos mess up on iChat after the 10.5.4 Upgrade.

Never have the time to look at the logs on a job, but have fed the:

"You have attempted to login too often in a short period of time.
Wait a few minutes before trying to login again."
error into Google and there don't appear to be any solutions.

The shit of the thing is that if it is another sporadic Leopard screw up (like Time Machine failing to backup over the MAC Address), then it's me who gets blamed for screwing up a customer's iChat connection.

Not a Apple! Me!
