One of the things that has really bugged me about my iMac - using Firefox as my browser - is that at the end of my day my screen looks like a garbage dump as a consequence of Firefox not reading PDF files within the browser & downloading them to the desktop to be read by Adobe Reader.
I believe Safari will read PDF files from within the browser, but was reluctant to change browsers, ....
.... anyway I just stumbled on a generic PDF plugin which claims to work in most browsers.
Certainly it works just great with my Firefox 1.0.2 - if I am not deceived the visual impact/clarity seems even better than Adobe Reader! There is also some very nice touches like you can enable facing pages & apprently even fill forms.
Maybe this is very old news to AppleTalk readers ... but I am soooo delighted to have a solution to this issue.
