HandBrake?

I have a DVD I don't own and want to rip it to make money off those jerks, just kidding, but I do have an MPEG4 file of a movie I used HandBrake to get and I'm trying to bring it into Final Cut Pro to practice editing but it keeps saying error and access denied. It is 866 MB, 112 minutes long, and 615 X 474. What can I do to get things moving along? Please some one smart help me out. Thanks Mark

Transcode it to something like dv pal/ntsc. you will lose quality, but at least FCP will play and you can practice your editing.

As slimy said. You can use mpeg streamclip (free) to convert to dv format
