Browser Wars: Zimbra says that Safari wins!

Zimbra (who make some pretty cool mail/calendar/collaboration software) have recently been doing various browser tests to see which browser works best with their hardcore web-based user interface.

The result? Safari wins!

The loser? IE7. (hah!)

See the details here: And The Winner of the Browser Wars is…. » Zimbra :: Blog

I recall checking out a nightly build of a webkit a few weeks after the release of Firefox 3 RC2, and yeah the memory usage was much lesser than Firefox's... Here's hoping Safari 4 will cream the fox

WebKit in its current form is still the fastest browser out there and one of the more capable as well, such as the ability to support image reflections in CSS.

This is a great day for the Firefox camp, pulling well over their expected downloads, but it's not enough to take the smile off the Safari camp's face. If current trends are anything to go by, that won't change any time soon either.

Wow, IE8 is doing pretty well, not ahead of Safari, but close on some tests.
