Firefox 3 - June 17th

I like Firefox (and Safari) and I know a few other people here like it too - Firefox 3 comes out June 17th. Three cheers for Firefox 3!

You mean June 17th. i.e. next tuesday!

Probably got confused with iPhone 3G day, July 11th.

RC3 for the Mac came out yesterday and it is awesome on Windows (yes, I love it on XP).

yay finally i'm so happy it's coming out! i've been using it on and off since minefield days, once i got my hands on the first official beta of 3 i was hooked.
Problem is that it seems to take up too much Processor Power & RAM. But i'm sure that will be fixed very soon.

I have an idea.
Screw June and July, make ONE BIG MONTH.... 61 days, and call it Junly.

Then no-one will have any problems.

Junly yeah thats classic. besides the fact that july and august both have 31 days as differed from opposing months of 31,30,31... that would solve all confusion. Junly 30th = end of financial year?

Firefox 3 Looks To Be King

I am using the pre-release version of Firefox 3 & have been mightly impressed. Whatever comments have been made in past have found Safari a bit sluggish at least for me.

I have for quite a while preferred Camino but lack of an inbuilt PDF reader has been a bit of an irritation for me - as picking up on PDF's is something I do a lot. Firefox is a browser I have used in past but found overall Camino better or faster?. But no more! Firefox 3 seems really snappy & there is a nice add-on that means I can read PDFs within the browser & it seems to work well.

So for now Firefox 3 looks to be my default browser, ....

What add-on specifically are you using to view PDF's in browser in FF3?

Anyone having issues with Foxmarks with the RC, get half way through the configuration screen and firefox process crashes.

Hopefully v3 is much improved on v2...

At moment only 19,181 Australian people have pledged to download Firefox 3 on download day - so not much of a browser impact I say - in Kiwiland 3905 have pldge to download Firefox 3 on download day!

Yeah, but only for FF 3 and Leopard ! No hope for us Jaguar/Panther/Tiger users yet. Bummer.
