I second that one. Would make life so much easier.
On the same topic, have an option to enter a password to return from a screensaver.

^ You can use Keychain to put a little padlock in the top menu.
And you can already have passwords required to be entered from sleep/screensaver. Look inside System Preferences.

Leopard Mod: Finder Scroll Bars
It looks brilliant. To be honest, I'd forgotten until now that it was a mod, and was wondering why you were complaining about the aqua scrollbars.

It would be cool to have iPhone like scroll bars through out the system - as they don't take up any screen space leaving a very clean looking screen.

I really love the iPhone hidden scroll bars.
Can't grab onto them with the mouse though...

I beg to differ:

I got mine hacked in. They look great. Much, Much better than before. If only I didn't have to hack to get these things that I want

Even better: Changeable translucency. Sure it would be a processor hog, but imagine all those windows behind, blurry in their behindness :P

As currently whenever I leave the office I have to close all apps and log out.

It is quite easy to set up a shortcut key (eg. Option-L) to do this, but you'll need to install two pieces of software. The first is Quicksilver (which is an awesome app in its own right), and the second is called Dockables, which contains a stack of mini apps such as Shutdown, Restart, Sleep, Log Out, Close All Applications, Sleep Display. etc
Then you just configure a trigger in Quicksilver to launch the Dockable app called 'Lock Screen'

Wouldn't it be easier to just click on the "dockable" app??
(p.s. I still think Quicksilver is the most overated app for Mac
)

That would depend on your personal preference for keyboard or mouse. Since the OP mentioned Win-L, I explained how you could configure a similar shortcut on OS X.
My own preferred way to lock the screen is a keyboard shortcut, since I can hit Option-L on the keyboard faster and with much less effort than it takes to do pretty much anything with the mouse (except perhaps hot corners).

A better Finder. One that knows how to merge folders. An additional view that is akin to the 'explore' mode of Windows Explorer. Death to the miller-browser-esque column view. Ability to run two panes of 'explore' mode in the one window.

That much I 100% agree with. Why Apple haven't done this by now, I will probably never know. It's a no-brainer.

Amen to that. Whenever I'm backing up to an external disk, I have to either replace the whole folder, or manually pick which files to copy up (risking missing some).

When you go to delete something and it says "example.mpg" is in use, I want something to tell me what app is using it.
Most of the time i have 12+ apps running at once, and its hard to tell.
