New RSS application - Snackr
Thanks to a bloke on Twitter for this, it's an Adobe Air app so it will work on osx, win, lin? and looks great for a beta! all it needs is syncing read/unread items from newsgator (or other sites) and we're laughing!

oh and you can grab it from Snackr: an RSS ticker for Windows/Mac/Linux built using Adobe AIR and Flex.

Basically it works as a vertical or horizontal news ticker. Very slick design so far!

Interesting, but... I can't see ever wanting an RSS app that shows RSS all the time. Distraction Central.

thats cool!

yeah, i wouldnt have it on when trying to watch a dvd, but for work, thats an awesome distraction.

I like it. It takes up a bit of room on the 13" Macbook screen, but I can see it being very useful.

Only problem is that I need a new desktop background! Snackr and the MacTalk avatars make for a way too busy desktop.

It reminds me of Google Desktop on the PC. Handy, but only really useful if you have a widescreen display.
