Either way, its a lot better than what we had 10 years ago, back in the days of manually configuring IRQ settings! :ugh:

I had set some limits too high. The old XServe could handle this fine, so it's not a problem with the server being unable to handle the load.
Something interesting I found out though is that, say, you didn't install all the printer drivers when you installed Mac OS X and you plug in a printer that needs the un-installed drivers. Software Update in 10.5 can download updated printer drivers for you if they exist.

I think Digg is evidence as to why natural selection should be rigidly enforced with shotguns.

when you think about it, a Mac is an automatic car and a PC is a manual. Both do the same things but one does them easier. But If you do learn the hard way (PC) you can learn more i guess. just my opinion.

or, if you learn the hard way first (PC), you can appreciate the difference when it is simple.

I actually only noticed that last night... until then wasn't aware it would do that. Pretty cool party trick.

The 5 1/4" floppy disk drive. It was an absolute bastard to fit it into the eMac chassis.

[quote=purana;477934]I see what you mean... Love it
EDIT: And a mate of mine just got a iMac 20" in the last few days, He is blown away with just how easy things are, and of course just how well it works.
I am a new mac user, 7 months now, and I agree %100 with your friend, Mac's just seem like a 'natural hand inside a glove" it just works, for me I can't yet find the words that really describe how good it feels to use a mac, its intuitive, natural , almost beatific the way it makes me feel. I look forward to seeing it in the morning and evening after work, its silly i know, but honestly, thats how i feel about it...
