New Safari WebKit is fast

The other day I found a link from Digg to an article labelled "Safari is about to get crazy fast" that urges people to check out WebKit (a nightly updated open source development version of Safari). Well, I hadn't used WebKit for quite some time and decided that it was worth checking out (I've only really tried using it when I've had an issue with Safari which actually equates to just once before, for a month or so). Compared to the current standard Safari version 3.0.4, WebKit r30153 (currently now r30218) is really quite remarkable. Seriously the fastest browser I have used.

I'd like to hear what other people have found and what they think of it.

PS. It's only ~16MB and all your Safari bookmarks, settings etc all work so you have no excuse not to check it out

I switched to using Firefox 3b3 the other day because Safari kept on using stupid amounts of my CPU and then my fans on my MB would go crazy. I actually quite like it, better than I remember Firefox being.

I will check out these WebKit nightly builds now though, can never have too many browsers
