Office 2008 confuses me
Sure Office 2008 will be a much needed upgrade, but something that has me stumped is the fact that the student and teacher edition of Office has no Exchange support, despite the fact that most schools/unis use Exchange Server and that Apple Mail has its own built in Exchange support. I'm trying to understand the reasoning behind this, but it hasn't quite come to me yet.

Typical student/teacher addition is aimed at use at home not in an enterpise situation (all be it that enterprise is a school) Many of the schools I know are using groupwise on novell networks so it wouldn't be an issue for them
