BootCamp & Vista Sound Quality Poor
Is it just me or is the sound quality on Vista is poor on the iMac or is there a way to make it the same as MAC OS X Leopard.

So I take it no one is experincing poor sound quality with Vista or XP. and it's just me. It sounds very tiny like the iMac 24" speakers are crap.

I have actually noticed when XP loads in bootcamp on our new 20" iMac that the speaker sounds like crap, they hiss and crackle as the XP intro music plays. Given that this is the only time we will use the Windows side of our mac for any sort of noise I did not think any more of it until i saw your post...

In saying that but it sounds fine when listening to music through iTunes in OS X

I have noticed poor audio quality in bootcamp too.

I suspect that it is using Soundblaster Pro drivers, rather than a proper 16bit soundcard driver

You would have thought Apple would have added these driver's for windows as well.
