Any software to limit network bandwidth?

Hi there. I'm having major issues with leopard and wireless. My observation is that as soon as the download exceeds 350 KB / sec, the wireless connection is lost. Loading pages, YouTube, you name it causes this. Its very annoying and want to limit my download speed. Anyone know of a way to do this easily? Would appreciate any help on this. THanks.

What brand or unit is providing the wireless access? My mother just got a MacBook and it works fine with Leopard + an older Airport Base Station. Curious to see if the unit providing the wireless is having issues (rather the Leopard being at fault).

soul assassin, you rock my sock! CarraFix is brilliant ... and unlike DummyMac, doesn't need 10.4, which makes me extra-happy.
