VMWare Fusion issue

I have a (wireless) network set up and working.

Machine "A" (iMac) has Fusion installed. Machine "B" has the shared printer attached.

In OS X mode, machine "A" can access the shared printer on machine "B".

In Windoze mode (Machine "A") this does not seem possible.... tried a few different ideas.
Has anybody achieved this scenario????...or should I just plug the printer into "A" permanently and let "B" share it. (not first choice for logistical reasons)

PT (newbie to Mac)

Machine B is running what? Mac OS X or Windows? If Mac OS X, install Bonjour in your Windows virtual machine. You can download it from Apple. It tends to make setting up a shared printer much easier.

If you're running Windows on computer B...erm, God help you?

God doesn't exist, so instead hit the discussion forums on:
http://communities.vmware.com/commun...desktop/fusion

And just as well, the support is quite active, as opposed to Parallels :|

I didn't mentioned Windoze on machine "B" because it isn't on it

A & B have OS 10-4-11,.. plus A has Fusion with Win XP Pro.

Have Bonjour on A but it cant see a Bonjour Printer.

Does this Virtual Machine connect directly to the network and see the printer on B, or does it go through the A machines OSx and use the network between OSx A & OSx B ?
Very confusing to a newbie.

If you can get Fusion to run in bridged mode, then it will find the printer fine, especially if you use the bonjour printer thingy.

However, if you suffer from the bridged wireless bug and have to run NAT, then your PC will essentially be on a different network and it won't work.

The bridged wireless bug will basically stall your network when Fusion is running. You'll know if you're affected by it.

I did what you said and this is the state now....

I did that and ran Bonjour again.

This is the path which must be correct. http://phill-trotts-computer.local:6...s/MP520_series

When I open that link on machine "A" (in XP) in a browser, the shared printer comes up and I can print a test page from there, which proves that XP on "A" can see the printer.

When I try to print a text document from an application (notepad) nothing happens. No notification windows come up. The new print job does not appear in the print queue

when I refresh the browser.

EDIT:- THE NEW PRINT JOBS ARE NOW SHOWING UP IN THE PRINT QUEUE (SHOWN IN THE BROWSER) BUT ARE STILL NOT PRINTING

Tks.
