Firefox not opening Gmail site
I have got fed up with Safari lately freezing and needing to be force quited. I find firefox to be a bit faster and leaner generally but it won't open Gmail.

I press on the bookmark and it very quickly says "connecting to mail.google.com" at the bottom of the page then stops. It leaves the previous page displayed and doesn't come up with an error. The address in the title bar doesn't even change.

It all still works with the same address in Safari but not Firefox. Is anyone else having problems?

Does the same problem happen if you log in as another user in OSX?

That worked OK but the whole system then froze requiring a hard reboot. Since then it's all fixed.
