If you check for updates does iPhoto show up? Also, you obviously you don't have the iLife disk, it was pre-installed?

No doesn't show in updates. No I don't have an ilife disk.
I thought it was standard with os-x.

Well if its on the original disks, why do you still call it an extra? Or wait a sec... do you mean I need to install it from the extras ?

iLife should be on the first disc of the Tiger installation CDs. Select 'Install Bundled Software Only'.

iLife is an independent software suite that comes pre-installed on Macs. It is not part of OS X. Bit like in the PC world, many machine will come pre-installed with Microsoft Office, but Office is not part of Windows.
You should of received a bunch of discs with your Mac when you purchased it. I am fairly certain one of those discs is an iLife disc. If not, it might be on the software recovery disc. Just have a look through them.
EDIT: Looks like the question has been answered, people in this forum are too quick.

Well, if you do a clean install of Leopard it doesn't include iLife or iWork or anything like that in it, just it's main components. I guess if you wanted iPhoto, you would need to buy iLife if you don't have the Tiger disks..
Maybe e-mailing Apple Support, maybe they could supply a download link or something?

No, iPhoto is NOT part of Mac OS X. It is a completely independent application. Just like Adobe Photoshop is a completely independent application.
That said, iLife is bundled with all new Macs.
When Tim talks about the Tiger discs he is referring to the system disc, i.e. the disc that was supplied when you purchased your Mac. Your Leopard disc is the retail disc, i.e. a disc you purchased separately.
EDIT: To further clarify, retail discs only contain the operating system. Whereas system discs contain all the software that was pre-installed on your machine.
Now, in your case, you purchased an ex-lease machine. By all rights they should of given you a system disc. Pop the disc they gave you in and have a look around, it just might be a copy of a system disc.
Otherwise, what about the Powerbook? Was this machine purchased from Apple? If so have a look at the discs that were supplied with the Powerbook. There should be an iLife disc in there.

Ok thanks for all the extra info there mate
Looks like I might have to get ilife as the disc they gave me for the G5 just seems like a retail tiger disk.. *cough damn microseconds cough*
The powerbook didn't come with an install disk at all, so looks like i am out of options!
Thanks for your help fella's.
