Thumbs up

As with most computer users we all learn how to use most applications by trial and error not by a manual. As such I haven't used iChat and I was wondering how do to get it up and running?

At this stage I wish only to want to use iChat and not the AV side as I don't have an iSight.

As this is a relatively broad question I don't mind been pointed in the right direction.

PS: I have lots of relatives overseas and some use Mac's. They also don't know how to use this thingy-ma-jig.

Sorry for the dumb question but hey I guess I got ask to learn.

Apple has a PDF (here), that explains the basics of how to use it.
In usual Apple style it's a good document that's easy to read.
Good luck
