How do I move incomplete torrents from one machine to another (Transmission)

I tried to copy the file that was being downloaded from one computer to another and the second computer thought only ~100MB was downloaded when the first thought more like ~400MB was downloaded.

Is there a way I can torrent the incomplete file torrent from one computer to the other over LAN so I can continue downloading on the other computer?

Thanks in advance,

iPirate

I think your title is a little off par with what you want to do... what torrent client does this relate too, as this will play a part (as the temp files used by that client to keep track of what parts is has downloaded will need to be moved to the alternate machine of the same torrent client).

Basically you seem to want to stop all the current downloads on one machine, move them to another and then resume them.

First and foremost, stop the client on the machine. Shut it down, then attempt to move them to the other machine (before starting up the client on the new machine).

I'm using Transmission on both machines, and Transmission seems to download more parts of the torrent-bits than any other client I have seen (ok, ok, bits on wheels but that's not the point). Transmission on the second machine doesn't register any of the incompletely downloaded umm... sections... whatever they're called.

So where does Transmission keep its temp files then?

No idea, don't use it. Maybe someone else can comment. It would appear we finally have more information on the problem

Sorry, it's just I couldn't find any temp file, even with invisible items in finder enabled, so I figured the only solution was to try to torrent it over LAN.
