 No IceTV guide in EyeTV

I am still getting the server error on mine too . It hasn't recorded since Friday night.

It's EyeTV 2.5.1 and I even got around to running the Leopard install (had the disc sitting there since it was released....) to see if that fixed it (with updates). I have deleted and re-entered the device and run the EyeTV setup wizard again.

No joy so far. Getting way past my bedtime so I'm have a look again tomorrow night.

My work around is that my existing arranged recordings seem to be working and the manual option always exists.

I've tried everything I know - which ain't much! - update gives the server error message. Still no guide. I left an entry in the IceTv support forum but so far no 'official' response.

Could the people who are experiencing issues please send a quick email to IceTV support (support -at symbol- icetv.com.au). This is very quick for us to fix from the server side, but we need to know your user ID to sort it out.

The next version of EyeTV 2 should correct the issue.

Mines all back up and running. For some reason I dont quite understand (perhaps an accident) I was on a black list and now I am off it. Problem fixed.

We've had a few rogue clients hitting our server quite hard. It was very difficult to specifically identify them, so some EyeTV users were added to the blacklist.

We apologise for any disruption. If anything the service should be more responsive now.

As stated, the next EyeTV 2 release should be using a different method for getting the guide that means things will run smoother and be easier to manage server side.

Daniel Hall from IceTv has attempted a fix within minutes of my email to iceTv support. Apparently I was inadvertently on a blacklist. If you still have problems with the program listings I suggest you email Daniel and the iceTv guys. I needed to give them my user credentials.
Prompt reply - very impressed. (I will be even more impressed when my program list loads when I get home)
